An Easter weekend like no other. Thousands of fans gather at the Durban ICC to witness the internationally acclaimed gospel group doing what they do best; music – worship and praise.
Tag lined ‘Joyous Easter Mega Fest’ – The gospel group kicked off their Easter weekend, inspiring hope, love and joy with a tour at the University of Zululand. Thereafter returning for the main show and recording at the Durban ICC.
Music director Mnqobi Nxumalo shared that this album was a reflective album for the group. To which part of it’s objective was to take it back home and cater specifically for the ear of their loyal fans who, have been with the group since day one.
“We have written a lot of new songs but we also wanted the album to have a nostalgic feel to it. Creating music that South Africans can relate to, making easy to see God and feel God through the music” says Nxumalo.
By the time the show was over in the early hours of Monday – Fans were left in awe, wanting more. Zobantle Ntlahla who attended the show for the first time, shared that this was such an exhilarating and refreshing experience – where the music really resonated with her. “I will most definitely come again for the tour” shared Zobantle. Thousands of loyal Joyous fans internationally have commented on social media. Expressing their eager anticipation for the release of the album and the much needed tour dates.
Mr. Nxumalo concluded with a huge thanks to all loyal Joyous Fans and expressed that the group is very grateful for the support and is committed to lifting the bar every year. “I would like for people to know that it is never not a privilege for us to stand somewhere and say something, and have people listening to what we have to say.
