There are no losses in life, but only lessons and stepping stones, so says MOT team coach Mongezi Magxaki at Hoy Park sports complex in Durban during the Victory Cup match between Newcomers and MOT.

This took place on Sunday 15 October 2023. He went on to share that the purpose of the Victory Cup is to encourage Shincheonji members to be fit and healthy physically.

“Shincheonji is not a church that teaches only on spiritual matters but also teaches on other aspects of life including health and fitness to help members attain a positive balance in their lives. And this is done through the Victory Cup matches and other activities’’.

Both teams played very well with the first half ending without a goal from both sides. There was good team spirit throughout the whole game. The game was very competitive in the center. Defenders showed their skills and talents when the ball came to the 18 area.

Newcomers scored their first goal through a hand penalty charge against MOT putting them in the lead. The second goal came flying into the net scored by Newcomers striker making the score to be 2 : 0.

However still, Heavenly Culture was displayed through the support given to both Teams by church members. Creating an atmosphere of unity and celebration for both teams. Meaning that regardless of the score, both teams won by uniting with their brothers and sisters through sports that allows participants to be healthy and fit physically. The event was closed off in the Lords prayer with everyone united in Spirit, body and mind.
