Acting President of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs in Lesotho, Hajj Abdulmalik Sekhonyana Molapo, writes to the South Korean Government in response to blame that has been directed at Shincheonji Chairman, Man Hee Lee, regarding covid-19 in South Korea.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركات

(Assalaam alaikom warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu – May the Peace of Allâh, His Mercy and Blessing be with you) Greetings, To whom it may concern.

Letter to the Government of the Republic of South Korea: Current Affairs and Persecution against Chairman Man Hee Lee

It is with greatest regret that we continue to hear of persecution of Chairman Man Hee Lee over covid-19 pandemic. Covid-19 is not a man-made pandemic, but one of Allâh SWT’s Tests over mankind and His creation in general. Indirectly blaming anyone for this horrendous pandemic is indeed unacceptable, irresponsible and completely unfair.

We take this opportunity to salute the courageous gesture of 4,000 Shincheonji Church recovered patients who donated their plasma for the purpose of advancing efforts to heal others and establish a successful cure for all of troubled mankind ameen. If it were possible, surely many people around the world would indeed benefit if similar action was to be replicated by many other recovered patients as well.

We further endorse the “stay-at-home” and “wear mask” campaign in an effort to fully combat this pandemic ameen. Thanking you in advance for your patience and understanding please.
Warm regards,

Hajj Abdulmalik Sekhonyana Molapo

President
